Endorsements

Please see a few of the many endorsements that I have received from people that I have helped. I am very proud of these endorsements, but more importantly I’m proud to educate and help people in need.

I highly recommend Nancy E. Joyner as a consultant, national speaker, and educator. She is most knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate as a speaker and has lectured for a variety of audiences, including members of the community as well as the professional arena. Maureen Sullivan; RN,MS, BSN, CEN, CDE, LNC

Nancy E. Joyner has a passion for promoting advance care planning to improve the quality of life for those facing serious illness and their families. She willingly shares the expertise she has developed during her thirty plus years of nursing in acute care and palliative care. Nancy is a voracious reviewer of current research related to palliative care and medical conversations. She is an energetic presenter sought after at regional and national levels. Nancy is the ND representative on the POLST initiative and consistently fuels ideas generated by members of Honoring Choices North Dakota. She will surely be recognized as one of the key individuals who helped changed the American culture to one which embraces conversations about values, beliefs and preferences for care as a normal part of high quality care for every patient at every encounter. Lois Ustanko; Director for Health Ministries at Sanford Health Fargo

As an advanced practice nurse at Altru Health System, Nancy helped provide continuing education to other direct care professionals. She was often the consultant for programs or the faculty educator garnering many positive comments and requests for more education and programs from her. From the stand point of the practicing nurse practitioner in the field of Palliative Care, she was often referred to by staff, families and patients as a compassionate, common sense voice while making decisions at the end of life. Susan Tharalson; Psychiatric Nurse at Altru Health System

Nancy E. Joyner is a passionate and excellent hospice and palliative care clinician and a strong patient advocate. She is an excellent speaker and is highly knowledgeable on a broad scope of subjects in the field. I highly recommend Nancy as both a consultant and a speaker. Her classes on advanced care planning are a must for clinicians as she discusses how and when to talk to patients and families and uses real life scenarios to give the audience a deeper understanding from the field perspective. Brad Macy; Hospice and Palliative Nurse Expert, Educator and Leader/Medical Device Innovator/Entrepeneur

Nancy E. Joyner is a great teacher and has extensive experience in palliative care. She is organized with her teaching material and presents it well, keeping the attention of the attendees. She is also compassionate and kind. Among the many facets of her practice, she comforts patients with her canine therapy dog, bringing smiles to patients who are seriously ill, including adults. Nancy gets very energetic and excited about new ways to teach, new ways to promote advance directives, and when called, is very anxious to help wherever she can. She participated in a national end of life seminar in Las Vegas and was an excellent addition to the program. She also authored an abundance of teaching sheets for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. The materials she created are very informative, easy to read, and in larger font. This kind of teaching meets the requirements for teaching the public. Nancy has a lot to offer patients and service providers in hospice, palliative care, case management, and consulting. My husband had spoke of the ‘nurse’ often who had spoke so directly to him, reminding him that he needed to take care of himself so he could take care of others…I am just grateful that I am able to be here on this planet to express my extreme appreciation to people like yourself. God Bless! Jen K, ND

I cannot thank you enough for listening and being there for me. It is such a comfort to know, that I have you along side me if things get worse. It is really my honor to have you. It gives me peace and comfort to know that I am not alone. I thank you for everything. Jan D, ND
